While over 750 Scouts & Explorers have booked onto BrumJAM so far we still have places we'd like to fill. If you've been considering attending now is the time to get your groups booking into us. Contact the bookings team ASAP for details of payment schedules.

Making A Booking

We hope that you are able to join us in 2012 at our Brumjam camp here at the heart of England, in the West Midlands. The planning of exciting activities is already advanced and we'll be making sure that the latest news about the event will be available on this website right until the start of the event.

To book your group or show a personal interest, there are two ways to reserve a place on the camp. As a reminder, the camp fees are £160 per participant, and £100 for camp staff. The cost for leaders attending is £100 which includes participation in the off-site days. The deposit will be £25 per person which will only be refunded in the unlikely event that the camp is cancelled.

To book by post, print and complete the BrumJam Application Form, attach a deposit cheque (made out to 'The Scout Association County of Birmingham ') and send to our hosts at:

To book by Credit/Payment card, call Blackwell Adventure (acting as agents for BrumJam camp organisers) on +44 (121) 445 1285. Helen (pictured) will help you by filling an application form, taking and processing your deposit immediately. The booking form will be sent to you for confirmation and signing (to be returned within 14 days), and then we’ll send you a further information and receipt of payment. Please note that credit card payments (not debit cards) are subject to small surcharge of 2% per transaction.

Participant Changes

We will make every effort to accommodate additional numbers subject to availability of places. Additional participants' places will be charged the deposit and fees due according to the payments schedule. Cancellations are subject to our cancellation policy detailed below.

Payments Schedule

We're expecting huge demand for BrumJam, there are only 1500 places available so please don't delay your booking or under–estimate the number of participants you're booking for. The final date for receiving bookings is 31st January 2012.

The price you pay is £160 per participant, £100 for leaders attending the camp and £100 for camp staff (which includes UK Value Added Taxes).

The payment schedule for this event will be (per participant):

Cancellation Policy

In the unlikely event that the BrumJam Camp is cancelled, you'll receive 100% of the payment you have made, by cheque. No compensation will be payable, please make sure you arrange suitable insurance for travel or other expenses.

If you cancel and you're unable to find replacement participants, then the following charges will apply from the time we receive your cancellation notice:

We will communicate with you using the e-mail address you have provided. For example, to provide your e–confirmation, e–ticket, e–cancellation, etc. We will assume that your e–mail address is correct and that you understand the risks associated with using this form of communication.
