Activities

BrumJam 2012 will offer hundreds of activities including some old favourites and new opportunities to try something different. There will be an Olympic theme to the Camp and activity programme with SIX FULL days of varied activities and evening events. Each of the 3 main Sub Camps will be split into 2 sub groups for the duration making a total of 6 sub groups. There will be 6 days of day time activities and therefore each sub group will work their way through each of the day time activities zones in rotation.

Day Time Activities

Blackwell Adventure Zone (On Site)

A day spent enjoying some of the Blackwell Adventure activities. Adrenaline packed (and more sedate) activities to include:

3G swing
Climbing
High Ropes Course

Pedal Karts
Crate Stacking
Grass Sleds
Archery
High All Aboard
Abseiling
Zip Wires
Air Rifle Shooting
Jacobs Ladder

Scouting Skills, Craft and International Zone (On Site)

Giant Army Inflatable Assault Course (t.b.c)
International Scouting Centre
Big Scalectrix (t.b.c)
International Food Centre
Laser Clays (t.b.c)
Soccer Skills (t.b.c)
Craft Tents
Scouting Skills
Zorbing (t.b.c)
Quad Bikes (t.b.c)
Trampolines (t.b.c)

Water Activities Zone (Edgbaston)

Full day of Water Activities at Edgbaston Watersports. Each group will spend half day rafting (traditional) and half a day of either of the following two: Kayaking or Canoeing / Sailing or Wind Surfing

Sub Camp Zone (On Site)

Enjoying the day within the sub camp taking part in various international themed activities and mini Olympics

Theme Park Zone (Alton Towers)

Alton Towers Trip – A Day at one of the UK’s top theme parks. Access to all the rides, a really fun day out!

‘It’s a Knock Out’ Zone (Pikes Pool)

A day of competitions with a traditional ‘It’s a knockout’ theme. Including Inflatable’s, Tele Tubbi Challenge, Twin Peaks, Canon Run and the Foam Pit

Evening Activities

There will also be a packed programme of evening entertainment on our main BrumJam Arena, with:

Live stage shows (as dead ones are reluctant to book)

Bands (but not U2, Justin Beaver, Take That, Lady Gaga or anyone else remotely famous)

Dance

There will be individual sub–camp stages for local 'gigs', talent shows and other types of performances.
