BrumJam 2012 International Olympic Jamboree

Venue

The venue is Blackwell Court International Scout Centre nead Bromsgrove (just south of Birmingham). Blackwell Court is a unique, fully equipped outdoor activity centre. Set in 50 acres of beautiful parkland, superbly located within minutes of the M42 and M5 motorways. The camping and adventure facilities are amongst the best in the Midlands and are used by over 25,000 people each year.

Campers

BrumJam 2012 looks forward to welcoming members of the Scout and Guide movements from around the world aged 10½ – 18 with their Adult Leaders and Helpers. You can expect to be amongst 1,500+ campers from the Midlands, around the UK and from various parts of the World taking part.

Dates

The site will open for BrumJam campers on Saturday 28th July 2012 and close on Saturday 4th August 2012. Our "opening ceremony" will be held in the evening of Saturday 28th July and the closing ceremony will be held on Friday evening (3rd August).

Activities

You can expect an exciting package of activities at BrumJam giving you both a taste of a Jamboree and the Olympics. On–site participants will be able to take full use of the range of superb facilities on offer at Blackwell. Check the website for latest details {activities}. There will also be a full programme of evening activities for everybody to take part in.

Equipment

Each Group is expected to provide all its own tents and equipment. Cooking must be done on gas/petrol stoves only – open fires are not permitted.
